New job opportunity: Administrative Assistant

We are looking for someone to join the Seiriol Alliance Good Turn Scheme team and help support the delivery of projects that bring people together and improve wellbeing within our local communities. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in keeping our services running smoothly, supporting staff, volunteers and community members.

We currently have funding for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Seiriol Good Turn Scheme for 12 months initially. We are hopeful that we will be able to secure recurring funding every year. This administrative role would include supporting the team doing a range of tasks such as:

Local marketing including social media for local community news
Providing general administrative support to the team
Answering the telephone and emails regarding enquires
Organising and supporting meetings
Updating policies
Community vehicles administration
Organisation of training for volunteers
Auditing and review of the Good Turn Scheme
Administrative support for new projects

The Administrative Assistant will have a base in Canolfan Hamdden Beaumaris, but it is envisaged that most of her/his work and time will be undertaken at home. As large parts of this role can be undertaken from home, the Alliance will support home working by providing the necessary communication and information technology.

If you live in the Seiriol Ward - Beaumaris, Llandegfan, Llanddona, Llanfaes, Llangoed, Llansadwrn and Penmon - the Good Turn Scheme may be able to help you.

Set up by the Seiriol Alliance, the services offered by the Scheme are delivered by volunteers and offer help to any person living in the Seiriol Ward who, due to illness, incapacity or some other need, may benefit from the help available.

The Scheme’s objectives include tackling loneliness and promoting wellbeing and independence.

Our services include:-

Providing transport such as to take clients to their GP surgery, hospital or other health care appointments and prescription collection from local pharmacies

Supporting people to access community social events, exercise classes, clubs etc

Support individuals to develop digital skills such as using the internet
